The chaos we know by heart
A customer writes on WhatsApp. The quote ends up as a loose PDF on somebody's phone. The tech writes the job down in a notebook nobody else sees. The rental expired and nobody noticed. And when the owner wants to know how much the business is really making, somebody has to put together an Excel file by hand on a Sunday night.
That is not a hypothetical. It is the daily routine of thousands of repair shops and service companies in Latin America, and we lived it ourselves, running real repair and field service operations.
We knew the trade. What we did not have was a tool that kept us from losing money in the mess.
Why we built it
When we went looking for that tool, we found two worlds: very expensive foreign software, designed for another reality and in another language, or Excel and WhatsApp, which at a certain scale become the problem. Nothing in between. Nothing made for the neighborhood repair business, for the company that sends techs out to rural areas, for the walk-in shop that takes in a bit of everything.
So we built it ourselves. Nodux came out of the nexius.tools workshop with one obsession: that a small service business could run its whole operation (tickets, customers, quotes, rentals, equipment and inventory) in a single app, in Spanish, and that it would work even with no signal, because the real work happens out in the street, not in an office with wifi.
